Natural Solution

Who wants beautiful, healthy, shiny hair? I think most of us do and we spend lots of money, time, and effort to get it. Even if your hair is already healthy, it goes through changes just as we do and is affected by nutrition, stress, the environment, and age. Environmental factors play a major role in maintaining hair health or creating damaged hair. Harsh weather, hair styling products, heat and chemical treatments can diminish hair integrity and cause breakage, bald spots, and weak growth patterns.

A simple solution to many hair problems is to allow the hair a vacation from  chemical over-processing techniques(color, relaxers, perms) and heat styling devices(curling irons, blow dryers, flat irons). Next, we need to replenish moisture to the hair with conditioning treatments which are water-rich and help the hair to maintain its normal 10% moisture level. Hot oil applications to the hair can help hair retain water but must be done when the hair is wet.

If you wear your hair natural and especially if it is curly, the following hair tonic can bring back life to dull dry lifeless hair. It is also an excellent scalp treatment which will reduce flaking and dandruff, stimulate hair growth, and tone the scalp. I like to use it as a hair dressing too. It makes the hair soft and shiny, plus it reduces frizziness.

For chemically straightened or processed hair, it can be used as a scalp treatment after shampooing before applying conditioner. Simply apply to entire scalp, follow with conditioner and rinse hair to finish.

How do you recommend applying it to the hair (I have very thick naturally curly hair). Thanks.
